My first Beaufort

Introduction

This is a repeating-key Beaufort cipher. First estimate the period with Repeated sequences: record several repeat spacings and test a divisor shared by more than one. Split the Ciphertext into Periodic columns at that period. In each column, make a likely plaintext-letter guess from frequency or a strong crib. Number A as 0 through Z as 25; for Beaufort, add the guessed plaintext value to its ciphertext value modulo 26 to obtain that position's candidate Key letter. Assemble the column letters into a Key, enter it in Beaufort transform, choose Decrypt, and Run. Revise weak column guesses until the complete Result is coherent, then submit it.
